Welcome to Iowa Dalmatians!! We are
located near Dexter, Iowa on Diamondhead Lake. Our Dalmatian puppies are
breed for stable temperaments, stamina, and loveable personalities.
We have a lake in the front yard and a forest in the backyard. The Sire,
Taz, retired Mama Dog, Oreo, and new Dam, Lily, all routinely swim and frolic
through the woods or on the ice. Taz, Lily, and Oreo are highly obedient
trained and put on a spectacular performance of “stupid” dog tricks. Taz,
Lily,
and Oreo are treated just like any of our other
children. Our old sire,
Buddy, passed on in August of 2008. We truly miss him. Taz adopted us in
September of 2008 as a baby. Our oldest female, Oreo, is in
retirement now and is the nanny. We just adopted our new female, Lily Fern Daisy, as of
June of 2010. Lily is a
liver spotted Dalmatian.
Our Dalmatian puppies are born in the living room. Yes, the living room. Taz was Oreo’s birthing coach and now is Lily's birthing coach during labor and won’t leave his mate's side until the last puppy is born. Our puppies are handled the second that they are born and our socialize with infants, toddlers, children, adults, teenagers, and other animals. Our house is chaotic. Our puppies interact beautifully in this environment and demand human attention even before they get their eyes open.
By allowing our Dalmatian puppies exposure to many different situations, environments, smells, people, noises, and animals, they develop very loving, stable, and outgoing temperaments. Our Dalmatian puppy’s temperaments are examined and matched with the buyer to ensure a quality fit within their new surroundings. Your Dalmatian puppy will make an excellent member to your family.
